Biography
Naima Wasfi was an Egyptian actress. Born in 1923 in the Asyut region of Egypt, she died in 1983.
She trained at the Acting Institute founded by Zaki Tulaimat and received her diploma in 1947. She began her career in theatre, joining the Modern Theatre troupe and later the National Theatre, appearing in plays including Something in My Chest and Zorba the Egyptian. She received the State Encouragement Award for her theatrical work.
Wasfi made her film debut in the early 1950s and appeared in dozens of films and television series. She is known for her role as the leader of the Free Women's Organisation in Cairo Station (1958).
