Biography
Narciso Yepes was a Spanish classical guitarist and composer. He arranged and performed the guitar music for the 1952 film Forbidden Games, including the main theme "Romance".
Born in Lorca, Murcia, on 14 November 1927, Yepes studied at the Conservatorio de Valencia. He developed a ten-string guitar in collaboration with luthier José Ramírez III and performed widely, including concertos with orchestras. He was married to Marysia Szumlakowska.
Yepes died in Murcia on 3 May 1997. He is also credited as composer on films including The Girl with the Golden Eyes (1961).
