Biography
Nat Crosby (1930–2011) was a British cinematographer and occasional director. He began his career in 1956 as a trainee assistant film cameraman at the BBC Film Department at Ealing Studios, becoming a full cameraman within four years and remaining with the BBC for 27 years until 1987.
Crosby photographed numerous BBC television dramas and plays, including Blue Remembered Hills (1979) and An Englishman Abroad (1983). He won three BAFTA Television Awards for Best Film Cameraman, for Going Gently (1982), An Englishman Abroad (1984) and The Insurance Man (1987), and received a nomination for Blue Remembered Hills. His feature film credits include Madame Sousatzka (1988) and Paper Mask (1990). He was a member of the British Society of Cinematographers.
