Biography
Nathan Schauf is an American film editor specialising in animation. He has worked in editorial roles on feature films since the mid-2000s, including as first assistant editor on Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted (2012) and Mr. Peabody & Sherman (2014), and additional editor on Penguins of Madagascar (2014).
Schauf joined Sony Pictures Animation in 2020. He served as additional editor on Hotel Transylvania: Transformania (2022) and associate editor on Fixed (2025), before becoming lead editor on the animated musical KPop Demon Hunters (2025). He holds a degree in Electronic Media and Communication with a minor in English from Texas Tech University and has over 25 years of experience across animation, gaming and other media.
In 2026 Schauf received the ACE Eddie Award for Best Edited Animated Feature Film for KPop Demon Hunters, as well as an Annie Award in the editorial category.
