Biography
Neil Stacy (born 15 May 1941) is a British actor and historian. He was born in Stowupland, Suffolk, and graduated from the University of Oxford with a BA in History in 1962.
His television credits include Carter in the 1980 series To Serve Them All My Days and Robert Cochrane in the 1984–1986 sitcom Duty Free. Other roles encompass appearances in The Avengers (1969), Quatermass (1979), Lovejoy (1992) and Get Well Soon (1997). He has also worked in film, with an early part in Murder Most Foul (1964).
After retiring from acting around 2004, Stacy pursued historical scholarship, completing a DPhil at Oxford in 1970 and publishing works on English and Scottish history.
