Biography
Ng Choon Ping is a British director and writer. He began his career in theatre, directing productions at the National Theatre, Royal Shakespeare Company and Young Vic, as well as stagings of Miss Julie and Macbeth.
With Sam H. Freeman he co-wrote and co-directed the short film Femme (2021), which premiered at SXSW, won a BIFA and received a BAFTA nomination for Best British Short Film. They expanded the story into the feature Femme (2023), which premiered at the Berlinale; Ng Choon Ping also directed episodes of the series What It Feels Like for a Girl (2025).
