Biography
Ngô Quang Hải, also credited as Ngo Quang Hai or Ngô Vũ Quang Hải, is a Vietnamese film director, actor, screenwriter and producer. He graduated from the acting department of the Hanoi Academy of Theater and Cinema in 1993.
He appeared as Knife in Trần Anh Hùng’s Cyclo (1995) and in other films including The Vertical Ray of the Sun (2000) as Hai and The Quiet American (2002). As a director, his feature debut Chuyện của Pao (2006) won four Golden Kite awards, including Best Film, and was Vietnam’s submission for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film.
