Biography
Nicholas Beauman is an Australian film editor. He edited Gillian Armstrong’s My Brilliant Career (1979) and has worked on more than 40 feature films, documentaries, telemovies and short films.
His credits include Mrs Soffel (1984), White Sands (1992), Little Women (1994), Oscar and Lucinda (1997), Charlotte Gray (2001), Beyond Borders (2003) and Death Defying Acts (2007). He has collaborated frequently with Armstrong and directors including Roger Donaldson, Mark Joffe and Neil Armfield.
Beauman is a member of the Australian Screen Editors, the Motion Picture Editors Guild of America and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. He has received seven Australian Film Institute Award nominations for editing and won two Australian Screen Editors Guild awards.
