Biography
Nick Urata is an American composer and musician, best known as the founder and frontman of the band DeVotchKa. He has scored numerous films and television series, including the original score for Paddington (2014).
Urata’s film work includes Crazy, Stupid, Love. (2011), Focus (2015), I Love You Phillip Morris (2010), Ruby Sparks (2012), Whiskey Tango Foxtrot (2016) and Love the Coopers (2015). DeVotchKa received a Grammy nomination for their contribution to the soundtrack of Little Miss Sunshine (2006). He has also composed the theme music and original songs for the Netflix series A Series of Unfortunate Events (2017–2019).
