Biography
Nikki Schiefelbein is a television writer and producer, also credited early in her career as Nikki Ashley. Her credits include writing and story editor roles on One Tree Hill (2008–2012), as well as work on The Ranch (2016–2020), The Umbrella Academy (2019–) and Mozart in the Jungle (2014).
She graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in the Radio, TV and Film track of Communication Arts. After moving to Los Angeles she began as a showrunner’s assistant on One Tree Hill before advancing to staff writer and story editor positions over six seasons of the series.
Schiefelbein has written episodes of The Client List and The Ranch, contributed teleplays to The Umbrella Academy, and held producing credits on several of these programmes. She is completing a debut novel.
