Biography
Norma Connolly was an American actress whose career spanned five decades from the early 1950s to 1998. She appeared in supporting film roles including Betty Todd in Alfred Hitchcock's The Wrong Man (1956), Aunt Vee in The Other (1972) and Mrs DeCamp in They Only Kill Their Masters (1972).
Connolly was best known for her television work, playing Lena Karr Gilroy in the soap opera The Young Marrieds (1964–1966) and Ruby Anderson in General Hospital (1979–1998). She also had guest roles in series including The Twilight Zone, I Dream of Jeannie, Adam-12 and The Streets of San Francisco.
On stage she appeared on Broadway in A Streetcar Named Desire and other productions. She was married to screenwriter Howard Rodman from 1954 until his death in 1985; they had three children. Connolly received a Daytime Emmy nomination for her work on General Hospital.
