Biography
Obiageli Odimegwu is a writer, producer and director. She grew up in Nigeria and worked as an equity trader on Wall Street before moving into screenwriting. She received an MFA from the USC School of Cinematic Arts in 2019.
Her television credits include writing and story editor roles on All American (2018–), staff writer on Guilty Party (2021), and executive story editor on Motorheads (2025). She has also written episodes of Fire Country (2022) and Sheriff Country (2025). Earlier work includes several short films.
Odimegwu’s scripts have received a Humanitas New Voices Award, a BAFTA Newcomers Fellowship and a Paramount Writers Mentoring Program Fellowship. In 2020 she worked at Spotify writing true crime podcasts.
