Biography
Olesya Rulin is a Russian-American actress. She is best known for playing Kelsi Nielsen in the three films of the High School Musical franchise: High School Musical (2006), High School Musical 2 (2007) and High School Musical 3: Senior Year (2008).
Born in Moscow, she moved to the United States at the age of eight and grew up in Texas and Utah. She trained as a ballet dancer and began modelling at the age of twelve. Rulin appeared in several earlier Disney Channel films including Hounded (2001) and Halloweentown High (2004), as well as later features such as Private Valentine: Blonde & Dangerous (2008) and Flying By (2009). She has also worked in television, with guest roles in series including The Mentalist, NCIS and The Rookie.
