Biography
Omri Givon is an Israeli writer, director and television creator. Born in 1977, he trained at the Charles A. Smith Arts School in Jerusalem and began with short films and the television drama Valley of Dreams (2003).
His feature debut Seven Minutes in Heaven (2008) won Best Israeli Film at the Haifa Film Festival. In 2013 he co-created and co-directed the thriller series Hostages (also known as Bnei Aruba), which aired on Channel 10 and was later acquired by Netflix. He subsequently created When Heroes Fly (2018) and The Grave (2019), and served as executive producer on the American adaptation Echo 3 (2022), which was based on When Heroes Fly.
