Biography
Ossama Bawardi is a Palestinian producer working in Palestine and Jordan. He began his career in production roles on films including Paradise Now (2005) and Salt of This Sea (2008). In 2010 he joined Philistine Films, the company founded by Annemarie Jacir, where he has expanded its work in production services and international co-productions. He is a member of the EAVE Producers Network and the Asia Pacific Screen Academy.
Bawardi has produced several of Jacir’s features, including When I Saw You (2013) and Wajib (2017), the latter winning more than thirty international awards. Other credits include the Oscar-nominated short The Present (2020), I Was a Stranger (2024) and Palestine 36 (2025). He has also worked as a line producer on projects such as 3,000 Nights (2015) and The Translator (2021), and has appeared as an actor in a small number of films.
