Biography
Paddy Cunneen is a composer, theatre director and playwright. He is an associate director of Cheek by Jowl Theatre and has composed music for around 200 productions for companies in the UK, Ireland and on Broadway.
His film and television credits include the score for Boy A (2007), which received a BAFTA nomination for Best Original Music, and AfterLife (2003). He has also worked extensively in radio drama for BBC Radio 4 and as a musical director on stage productions including the Donmar Warehouse Company.
Cunneen has received the Christopher Whelen Award for Music in Theatre, two Critics’ Awards for Theatre in Scotland, and a Music Industry Award for Best Cast Album. He has written stage plays and radio plays, some of which have been performed at fringe festivals.
