Biography
Paras Patel is an American actor born on 8 July 1986 in Florida. He is best known for portraying the apostle Matthew in the television series The Chosen (2019–).
He made his acting debut in the 2011 television film Teen Spirit. Subsequent credits include the film The DUFF (2015) and appearances in series such as NCIS: Los Angeles (2009) and Fresh Off the Boat (2015). He also appears in The Shift (2023). Patel studied finance before entering acting and has worked on projects including the animated series The Chosen Adventures (2025) and the unscripted series The Chosen in the Wild with Bear Grylls (2026).
