Biography
Pasquale Catalano is an Italian composer. Born in Naples in 1966, he studied piano, guitar, violin and composition before beginning his career in theatre, working at the Teatro Ausonia in Naples and with the Compagnia della Fortezza.
He entered film scoring through collaborations with Pappi Corsicato on Libera (1993) and I buchi neri (1995). A long association with Paolo Sorrentino followed, including One Man Up (2001) and The Consequences of Love (2004). His other notable scores include Loose Cannons (2010), Barney's Version (2010) and Fasten Your Seatbelts (2014).
Catalano has also composed for television, including Romanzo criminale - La serie. He received the 2010 Genie Award for best original score for Barney's Version and has earned multiple David di Donatello nominations.
