Biography
Paul Azaïs (born Paul François Robert Azaïs) was a French actor. He was born on 6 May 1903 in Paris and died there on 17 November 1974.
He began his career as an extra at the Châtelet theatre and took small roles in operettas and music-hall before appearing in more than 110 films between 1929 and 1966. His credits include Les Misérables (1934) as Grantaire, Casque d'Or (1952), Le Plaisir (1952) as Le patron du bal, Razzia (1955) as Le patron du bistrot, and The Earrings of Madame de... (1953) as Le premier cocher.
In 1957 he co-founded La Roue tourne, an association providing support for actors in need.
