Biography
Paul Harris Boardman is an American screenwriter and film producer. He grew up in the Appalachian region of southwest Virginia and east Tennessee. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Sewanee with honours degrees in English literature and psychology, earned an MA in creative writing from Johns Hopkins University, and studied at St John's College, Oxford, and the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts.
Boardman is best known for his work in the horror genre, often in collaboration with Scott Derrickson. His credits include the screenplays for Urban Legends: Final Cut (2000), Hellraiser: Inferno (2000), The Exorcism of Emily Rose (2005, also produced), Devil's Knot (2013, also produced) and Deliver Us from Evil (2014). He produced the 2008 remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still and served as executive producer and writer on the Netflix series Archive 81 (2022).
