Biography
Paul Howard is an Irish novelist, playwright, journalist and screenwriter. Born in London in 1971, he moved to Ireland as a child and worked for sixteen years as a journalist, chiefly for The Sunday Tribune, before becoming known for his long-running Ross O'Carroll-Kelly comic novels and stage plays.
Howard has written for several television series. He contributed teleplays to the BAFTA-winning Apple TV+ drama Bad Sisters (2022–2024) and wrote an episode of series five of The Young Offenders (2026). He also worked as a writer and story editor on series two of SisterS (2026). He has won multiple Irish Book Awards for his fiction and non-fiction.
