Biography
Paul Langton (17 April 1913 – 15 April 1980) was an American actor. He appeared as Charlie Carey in the science-fiction film The Incredible Shrinking Man (1957). He is best known for his regular role as Leslie Harrington in the prime-time soap opera Peyton Place (1964–68).
Langton was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, and moved to San Francisco as a child. He studied at the California School of Fine Arts and gained early stage experience with the Pasadena Playhouse and the Mountain Play Association. He made his film debut in 1941 and became a contract player at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, appearing in several war films including They Were Expendable (1945).
From the 1950s he worked extensively in television, with guest roles in series such as Perry Mason, The Twilight Zone and Gunsmoke. After Peyton Place he continued in guest parts until retiring due to ill health.
