Biography
Paul M. Sommers is a cinematographer who has also directed for television. Credited at times as Paul Sommers, he served as director of photography on The Vampire Diaries (2009) for more than forty episodes across its early seasons. In 2011 he directed one episode of the series.
His other credits as director of photography include episodes of Bosch (2015), Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams (2017), Empire (2015) and Rectify (2013). Earlier work includes additional crew on the film Notting Hill (1999) and steadicam operation on various projects.
