Biography
Paul-Ottar Haga is a Norwegian actor. He was born on 30 July 1965 in Verdal and trained at Statens Teaterhøgskole. He has been employed at Det Norske Teatret since 1990.
On stage he has played leading roles including Olav Engelbrektsson in Sankt Olavs skrin (1990), the title role and later the Button Moulder in Peer Gynt (2005 and 2018), and Edgar in Dødsdansen (2012), for which he received a Heddaprisen nomination. He has also appeared regularly in the Spelet om Heilag Olav at Stiklestad since 1974 and performed in several musicals.
His screen credits include the title role in the 1993 television adaptation of Peer Gynt, Svein in Lilyhammer (2012–2014), Stor-Johan in Everybody Hates Johan (2022), and the Officer in Zero Kelvin (1995).
