Biography
Paul Richter (1895–1961) was an Austrian actor. He played Edgar Hull in Fritz Lang's Dr. Mabuse, the Gambler (1922) and the title role in Die Nibelungen: Siegfried (1924).
Richter made his screen debut in 1914. He appeared in numerous silent films, including Joe May's The Indian Tomb (1921), before continuing in sound pictures, often in regional or historical roles as huntsmen, foresters or aristocrats. His film career ended in the late 1950s after an eye operation.
He was married to the Norwegian actress Aud Egede-Nissen from 1924 to 1931.
