Biography
Paulo Perez is a Colombian cinematographer with more than 25 years of experience on feature films, documentaries and series. He is co-founder of the Colombian guild of cinematographers ADFC and has lectured in cinematography at the International Film and TV School in San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba.
His credits include director of photography on the Netflix series One Hundred Years of Solitude (2024), on which he shot episodes 1, 2, 3, 7 and 8; the Netflix series Green Frontier (2019), filmed entirely in the Amazon rainforest; and the feature Pickpockets (2018). Other work encompasses the Amazon Prime series The Head of Joaquín Murrieta and News of a Kidnapping, and the SonyLIV series Jengaburu: The Curse (2022–23). He has received two wins and three nominations for his cinematography.
