Biography
Per Anders Fogelström (22 August 1917 – 20 June 1998) was a Swedish writer and journalist. He spent his life in Stockholm and published more than 40 books, many depicting working-class life in the city.
His 1951 novel Sommaren med Monika was adapted by Ingmar Bergman into the 1953 film Summer with Monika, for which Fogelström contributed to the screenplay. He is best known for the five-novel City Novels series (Stadserien), published between 1960 and 1968, which follows successive generations of Stockholmers from 1860 to 1968.
