Biography
Pere Ponce Alifonso is a Spanish actor from Catalonia. Born in Tortosa in 1964, he studied dramatic arts at the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona after initially enrolling in psychology.
He gained early recognition for his leading role in the 1992 romantic comedy Amo tu cama rica, for which he shared an Ondas Award. Ponce is known for his long-running television role as Eugenio in Cuéntame cómo pasó (2002–2014) and as Eugeni Bosc in Merlí (2015). Other notable credits include Genaro in Blancanieves (2012), Miguel de Cervantes in The Ministry of Time (2015), and Gutierre de Cárdenas in Isabel (2012).
His performance in Blancanieves earned a nomination for Best Film Actor in a Minor Role from the Actors and Actresses Union Awards, and he received a Feroz Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for The Replacement (2021).
