Biography
Pete Oswald (born 8 July 1980) is an American illustrator, production designer and children's book author. He studied animation at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles after growing up in Utah.
Oswald has worked as a character designer and concept artist on animated features including Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa (2008), Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (2009) and ParaNorman (2012), for which he received an Annie Award nomination. He served as production designer on The Angry Birds Movie (2016) and its 2019 sequel, as well as The Garfield Movie (2024). He has also illustrated numerous bestselling picture books, several written by Jory John.
