Biography
Peter Milne (15 August 1896 – 29 March 1968) was an American screenwriter. He wrote for more than fifty films from the silent era through the 1950s. Before entering screenwriting he reviewed films for the trade paper Motion Picture News and published the book Motion Picture Directing: The Facts and Theories of the Newest Art (1922).
His credits include the story for the Warner Bros. musical Footlight Parade (1933), the screenplay for The Kennel Murder Case (1933), and contributions to Gold Diggers of 1935 (1935), The Walking Dead (1936), San Quentin (1937) and The Verdict (1946). He worked frequently for Warner Bros. and First National in the 1930s.
Milne was born in New York City and died in Los Angeles County, California. He was married to Janet Cruikshank.
