Biography
Peter Terry was a South African actor. He trained at Rhodes University, where he completed a BA between 1969 and 1971, and later took a BA (Hons) in the Theory of Drama at the University of Pretoria in 1980.
Terry appeared as the Commons Speaker in the 2008 miniseries The Devil's Whore. His other screen credits include the role of Maitre d' in the 2013 television film The Challenger Disaster, appearances in South African series such as 7de Laan (2017) and Wild at Heart (2009), and earlier work in British productions including One Foot in the Grave (1995). He also had an extensive theatre career and received nominations for Vita and Naledi awards. Terry died on 10 April 2026.
