Biography
Peyman Yazdanian is an Iranian pianist and composer. Born in Tehran on 6 January 1969, he began piano studies at the age of six under Farman Behboud and later took lessons in harmony and composition. He graduated in industrial engineering from Sharif University of Technology in 1991 and won first prize at the Concours Musical de France piano competition in 2000.
Yazdanian composed the score for Abbas Kiarostami's The Wind Will Carry Us (1999). He has written music for many other films, including Crimson Gold (2003), Fireworks Wednesday (2006), Summer Palace (2006), No Date, No Signature (2017), A Man of Integrity (2017), Hit the Road (2021) and Law of Tehran (2019). He has also composed over forty pieces for solo piano and written soundtracks for plays and multimedia projects.
