Biography
Phil Spector (1939–2021) was an American record producer, songwriter and occasional actor. He originated the 'Wall of Sound' production technique and produced numerous hit singles in the 1960s, including work with the Righteous Brothers, Ike and Tina Turner, and later the Beatles and George Harrison.
Spector appeared as Connection in the 1969 film Easy Rider. He also featured in archive footage in documentaries such as Imagine: John Lennon (1988) and George Harrison: Living in the Material World (2011). In 1989 he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a non-performer.
