Biography
Philip Edwards was a Canadian middle-distance runner who competed for Canada at three Olympic Games. Born in British Guiana, he won five Olympic bronze medals across the 1928, 1932 and 1936 Games, earning the nickname 'Man of Bronze'.
Edwards appeared uncredited as himself in the 1938 documentary film Olympia Part One: Festival of the Nations, which recorded events from the 1936 Berlin Olympics. He later became a physician specialising in tropical diseases.
