Biography
Pierre Bellemare (21 October 1929 – 26 May 2018) was a French radio personality, television presenter, producer, writer and actor. Born in Boulogne-Billancourt, he began his career in radio in the late 1940s and became a prominent figure in French broadcasting, creating and hosting numerous game shows and programmes over six decades.
He appeared in several films, including an uncredited role as himself in Very Happy Alexander (1968), the Radio Narrator in Three Lives and Only One Death (1996), Armand Lesignac in OSS 117: Lost in Rio (2009) and the mayor in The Tuche Family (2011). Bellemare was also the author of numerous books, many recounting true stories and extraordinary events.
