Biography
Pierre Morel (born 12 May 1964) is a French film director and cinematographer. He trained at the École supérieure de réalisation audiovisuelle (ESRA) in Paris and began his career as a camera operator and cinematographer, working on films including The Transporter (2002) and projects produced by Luc Besson.
Morel made his directorial debut with the action film District 13 (2004). He subsequently directed Taken (2008), From Paris with Love (2010), The Gunman (2015), Peppermint (2018) and Freelance (2023), among other features.
