Biography
Polly Stenham is an English playwright, screenwriter and director. She was born on 16 July 1986 in London and attended Wycombe Abbey. Her debut play That Face premiered at the Royal Court Theatre in 2007, when she was 19, and later transferred to the West End.
Stenham has written further plays including Tusk Tusk (2009), No Quarter (2013), Hotel (2014) and Julie (2018). She co-wrote the screenplay for the film The Neon Demon (2016), directed by Nicolas Winding Refn. She was appointed MBE in 2020 for services to theatre and literature and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.
