Biography
Raaj Kumar (born Kulbhushan Pandit; 8 October 1926 – 3 July 1996) was an Indian actor who worked in Hindi films.
He served as a sub-inspector with the Bombay Police in the late 1940s before entering the film industry. His screen debut came in the 1952 film Rangeeli. He rose to prominence with his role as Shamu in the 1957 film Mother India and appeared as Prince Naushazad in Nausherwan-E-Adil the same year.
Over a career spanning more than four decades, he appeared in over 70 films, including Waqt (1965) and Pakeezah (1972).
