Biography
Rachel Stephens (born Rachel Lou Slagel) was an American actress who appeared in film, television and on stage. She earned bachelor's and master's degrees in theatre arts from Indiana University Bloomington and worked as a CBS research assistant and in television before entering films.
Signed to a contract with Twentieth Century Fox in 1956, her first screen role was as a nurse in Bigger Than Life (1956). She went on to appear in Desk Set (1957) as a receptionist, The True Story of Jesse James (1957) as Anne James, and Ri¢hie Ri¢h (1994) as Richie's secretary, among other credits.
Stephens also performed in stage productions including Bus Stop (1955) and later toured in dinner theatre. She was married to fellow actor Dennis Sook from 1979 until his death in 2017.
