Biography
Rain, born Jung Ji-hoon on 25 June 1982 in Seosan, South Korea, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, dancer and actor. He began his entertainment career as a member of the boy band Fanclub before debuting as a solo singer in 2002. His acting debut came in 2003 with the television series Sang Doo! Let's Go to School.
Rain's early television roles include Lee Yeong-jae in Full House (2004). He made his film debut in I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK (2006) and later appeared in the American films Speed Racer (2008) and Ninja Assassin (2009). Subsequent credits include Ghost Doctor (2022) and the role of Im Baek-jeong in Bloodhounds (2023).
He has also starred in Under the Queen's Umbrella (2022) and Red Swan (2024). Rain founded his own entertainment company after leaving JYP Entertainment.
