Biography
Ralph Ince (1887–1937) was an American actor, film director and screenwriter. He appeared in more than 100 films and directed around 170 between 1910 and 1937.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Ince began working in the film industry around 1906. He joined Vitagraph Studios, where he acted in and later directed films, including a series of one-reel pictures in which he portrayed Abraham Lincoln. With the advent of sound he took supporting roles while continuing to direct.
Ince is credited as Pete Montana in Little Caesar (1931). He was the brother of filmmakers Thomas H. Ince and John Ince. He died in London following a road accident.
