Biography
Raymond Aubrac was a French Resistance member during the Second World War who appeared as himself in the 1988 documentary Hôtel Terminus: The Life and Times of Klaus Barbie directed by Marcel Ophüls.
Born Raymond Samuel on 31 July 1914 in Vesoul, France, he trained as a civil engineer at the École nationale des ponts et chaussées. He joined the Resistance in 1940 with his wife Lucie Aubrac and took part in the Libération-Sud movement in the Lyon area.
Aubrac survived arrest by the Gestapo under Klaus Barbie in 1943. He appeared in several later documentaries and died on 10 April 2012 in Paris.
