Biography
Reatha Grey was an American actress. Born in Los Angeles, California, she graduated from Los Angeles High School and Los Angeles City College, where she studied theatre arts. After a USO tour of East Asia in 1974, she began appearing in television and film, including roles in Three's Company (1976), General Hospital and the blaxploitation film Welcome Home Brother Charles (1975).
In the 1980s she operated the Grey Images Extra Casting Company. She retired from acting in 1991 to work as a chaplain and missionary before returning in 2007. Grey appeared in numerous guest roles on series including How I Met Your Mother (2013), It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, NCIS, Castle, This Is Us, iCarly, Shameless, The Newsroom, Good Girls and Dead to Me. She played Lorraine, Ava's grandmother, in the 2022 episode of Abbott Elementary.
She also featured in Betty White's Off Their Rockers and received awards recognition for that series and for her performance in the film Betrothed.
