Biography
Reijirō Koroku is a Japanese composer, arranger and musicologist. He was born on 13 December 1949 in Okayama, Japan, and studied at the Tokyo University of the Arts. He is a student of composer Kōichi Sugiyama.
Koroku composed the score for the film The Return of Godzilla (1984), also credited on the American version Godzilla 1985 (1985). His other film work includes 1750 Days of Turbulence (1990), for which he received a Japanese Academy Award nomination. He has composed for television, anime, theatre, opera and video games, and teaches at the Tokyo College of Music.
Since 1993 he has been married to actress Chieko Baishō.
