Biography
Renee Whitney was an American actress. Born Bertha Renee Whitney in Chicago, Illinois, on 9 February 1912, she appeared in dozens of films, primarily in the 1930s, often in uncredited bit parts.
She had a credited role as Cynthia Kent in the Warner Bros. musical Footlight Parade (1933). Other appearances include uncredited parts in 42nd Street (1933), Gold Diggers of 1933 (1933), Baby Face (1933), The Kennel Murder Case (1933) and Show Boat (1936), as well as credited work in Jimmy the Gent (1934) and I've Got Your Number (1934). She was a close friend of actress Glenda Farrell and appeared with her in several films.
Whitney died in Long Beach, California, on 16 September 1972.
