Biography
Rhys Ernst is an American film producer and director. He received a BA from Hampshire College and an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts.
Ernst served as producer and director on the Amazon series Transparent (2014–2019) and created its title sequences. He directed the web series This Is Me (2015), for which he received an Emmy nomination, and created the trans history series We’ve Been Around (2016). His feature debut Adam premiered in 2019. His work has screened at the Whitney Biennial, Sundance and other festivals.
