Biography
Riccardo Garrone (1 November 1926 – 14 March 2016) was an Italian actor and voice actor. He trained at the Silvio d'Amico National Academy of Dramatic Arts and made his film debut in 1949 in Adam and Eve, directed by Mario Mattoli. He appeared in more than 140 films until his retirement in 2014, as well as in theatre productions with Vittorio Gassman and others.
Garrone is known for his role as Riccardo in La Dolce Vita (1960). Other credits include Fiasco in Milan (1959), The Traffic Policeman (1960), Fantozzi Still Suffers (1983), Christmas Holidays (1983), Paprika (1991) and Amore 14 (2009). On television he played Nicola Solari in Un medico in famiglia (1998–2004). He was the younger brother of director Sergio Garrone and was married to Grazia Maria Verità; they had one daughter.
