Biography
Richard Benjamin is an American actor and director. Born on 22 May 1938 in New York City, he studied at Northwestern University and began his career on stage and in television.
He appeared in films including Goodbye, Columbus (1969), Catch-22 (1970), Westworld (1973) and Deconstructing Harry (1997), in which he played Ken. He also directed My Favorite Year (1982), The Money Pit (1986) and Mermaids (1990).
Benjamin received a Golden Globe Award for his performance in The Sunshine Boys (1975). He has been married to actress Paula Prentiss since 1961.
