Biography
Richard Lukunku is a Congolese–South African actor. Born on 29 May 1986 in the Republic of the Congo, he moved to South Africa as a child and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Live Performance from AFDA, The School for the Creative Economy, in Johannesburg.
He is known for playing Joshua in the Starz series Black Sails (2014–2015), Patrice Lumumba in the film The Siege of Jadotville (2016), Officer Ndereba in the miniseries The Looming Tower (2018), and Dr. Feza in Professionals (2020). Earlier South African television work includes roles in Inkaba and Ashes to Ashes, for which he received a SAFTA nomination.
