Biography
Richard Preddy (born Ian Preddy, 3 September 1966 – 7 July 2020) was a British comedy writer and performer. He maintained a long-term writing partnership with Gary Howe from 1987 and contributed to numerous sketch shows and sitcoms.
His credits include Smack the Pony (1999–2003), Green Wing (2004–07), The Fast Show (1994–2000) and Harry Enfield and Chums (1994–97). He also wrote for children's animation, including episodes of The Amazing World of Gumball (2015). Preddy received a Writers' Guild of Great Britain Award in 1996 and an RTS Award nomination in 2007.
